According to recent studies the iPhone is, for the first time, starting to lose ground in the smart phone market. (GIGAOM) The Neilson Company has announced that the Google phone Android has grown its market share to an impressive 27% compared to the iPhone at 23% market share.
So what does this mean? Is the iPhone soon to be extinct? ?? Don’t be ridiculous, the iPhone is here to stay.
While Android has established itself as a real player in the smart phone market, indications are that it is nearing its highest possible market share. Satisfaction rates with the Android are at a solid 71% , while Blackberry users report a dwindling 42% satisfaction rate. However, both of these are weak in comparison to the 89% satisfaction rate that Apple iPhone owners report.
When it comes down to it, 9 out of 10 people that own an iPhone say they would buy another. That is remarkable consumer loyalty. So don’t count on the iPhone being bullied out of the Smartphone market anytime soon. Apple and their golden boy product are here to stay.
After all, who doesn’t LOVE their iPhone?
